Adopted standard
A standard approved as a National Standard of Canada by a CGSB committee, with any modifications from the standard identified. The adopted standard may be republished or endorsed.
Republished standard
The standard is published under CGSB cover bearing the designations of the CGSB and of the originating organization with permission of the copyright holder. The preface of an adopted standard contains any variations required for use in Canada. An example of an adopted, republished standard is CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2022, which is also International Organization for Standardization ISO 9712:2021.
